It is impossible not to feel joyous whilst painting nasturtiums. I am painting directly onto the warm coloured plywood that has been primed with transparent GAC 200 acrylic medium.

This subject has been literally sat on the shelf for some time now. I knew I wanted to paint it but for one reason or another I procrastinated until now. It has an almost "crucified" quality about it and I recalled the lyric from a Paul Simon song - "the cross is in the ball-park" . I like the cadmium yellow of the handle.
