I've prepared a few small linen panels for a change of surface to my usual gessoed hardboard. There is really nothing that can compare to painting on linen, it's a joy to paint onto, and it encourages a different handling and application of the paint. At the meagre price I can sell these paintings for, I can't really justify the expense of linen, however I have a few offcuts from larger paintings that I can use.
