I wanted to try and paint the iridescence of this sand blasted old bottle that I found washed up on Komene beach.   Like most of my work it has no message in it....

I've been experimenting with painting on aluminium panels.  It is perfectly flat and smooth and it is nice to smudge the paint on allowing the metal to glow through.

This is the ghost of Christmas past in many ways. It's been stood on my shelf waiting to be painted for at least two Christmas's now! I noticed the candy is actually starting to melt and disolve in it's plastic covering so I thought it was high time to do the painting while I still had the chance. It's a very small miniature. I find a fascination with miniatures and I enjoyed painting this.
