These fascinating little creatures were on the menu at a local restaurant. They tasted like marinated rubberbands but I thought they would be a good subject to paint and so smuggled them out in a paper towel. They proved to be quite a challenge! I think the last time I painted an octopus was when I was about six.
Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI would think with some horseradish or coctail sauce, they would taste very good!
ReplyDeleteBeauties, I just clicked on the close up of the little octopi and they really "sit" on the canvas.
ReplyDeleteHeheh..that's reminiscent of the Fawlty Towers scene where John Cleese has a Kipper hidden up his jumper...A gorgeous little painting as usual Paul!!
ReplyDeleteGreat little painting - very dimensional. Like escargot, chewing erasures.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, and thank you, for I dont think I will ever try to eat them. Your description is exactly what I would imagine them tasting like :)
ReplyDeleteNice, I love new subjects. I've seen enough fruit.
