Like much of my work this has a strong vanitas quality.

From the latin: vanitas vanitatum omnia vanitas
translating to: Vanity of vanities; all is vanity
Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.

    fleeting/tansitory ....a breath and so the fittingness of a quenched match and too the ember
