People always assume that knights in armour are male. How can you tell under all that armour? Wilst painting this I had the lyric of a song by Kate Bush in mind. I presume it's about Joan of Arc.
Joanni, Joanni wears a golden cross
And she just looks beautiful in her armour
Joanni, Joanni blows a kiss to God
And she never wears a ring on her finger
