This month marks the sixth year of Postcard From Puniho.  I will be taking a short sabbatical for a few weeks as I am going to London to see the Queen. Well... the lucien Freud exhibition, and he did paint a portrait of the Queen.

I find that half used birthday candles have a slight poignant quality. Especially lying on their side. Symbolising loss of innocence or child like dreams perhaps..?

This was a commission for a friends birthday. I painted it a while ago but wasn't allowed to blog it until after the big day!

On another note, apologies for the confusion with the hotlinks to my email lately. Just a technical hicough! I hope I've sorted it out now. If you would like to enquire about my current Dutch Auction or the purchase of any other painting click here.

As of today I have been doing this project for one year now. So I felt I should celebrate the occasion somehow. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all those people who have supported and encouraged me to keep going. Thankyou.
