It's always a sensual pleasure painting dark shiny subjects like this. You've got the full gamut of tonal range from the rich darks to the lightest highlights and everything inbetween to work with. So much easier than paintings in a lighter key. In fact, I enjoy it so much I kind of feel a bit guilty and decadent doing it - a bit like actually eating the cherries...
